Sleeping is one of the favorite pastime of every individual. Thus, studies say that an individual need about eight hours of sleep on an average every day. But sometimes, you just don’t get as much sleep you want. The atmosphere around you at night while sleeping should be completely calm and delightful. Hence, there are some things to remember before to go to bed:
- There should be a proper time when you get on bed at night and leave it in the morning. It is necessary to follow a regular pattern in order for a better sleep. Make sure you go to bed every night at the same time, and tend to wake up at the same time when the sun rises.
- Avoid using electronics at least an hour before you go to sleep. These gadgets disturb your sleep a lot and if you sleep right after using your mobile phone, everything that you must have done in your phone will revolve in your mind and won’t let you sleep peacefully.
- Arrange your bed things and create a restful and calm bedroom. You bedroom is just confined to sleeping and not doing other chores like working, making calls, paying bill, and so on. Let your brain get instantly prepared the moment you enter your bedroom.
- Finish all your chores an hour or so before going to bed. It is not good to sleep right after you complete your work. You need to turn off your mind completely in order to have a peaceful sleep.
- Breathe right. Breathing is most important thing while sleeping, correct breathing is the easiest technique to relax your mind and body and make them sleep. For this, you can even do a short exercise by placing your hands on abdomen and chest respectively and practicing deep breathing exercises.
- Get a massage, clear up your entire mind and let your brain know that you are winding up all the things to just relax.
- Make sure you do not have junk or heavy foods before sleeping. As eating them and directly going to bed will surely disrupt your digestion and even disturb you while sleeping. So keep in mind that you need to have your dinner at least 2-3 hours before going to bed. And later if you are hungry, just a glass of milk or handful of almonds can help you get some good sleep.
- Be sure that you are not sleeping with tensions in your head. Do not worry about anything when you are about to sleep, because worrying will not help you get some peaceful sleep. So better throw away all your tensions, write it down on a paper and throw it in dustbin if you wish to make it a little real.
- Do some exercise such as yoga or meditation that will help you relax your mind and body.
- Make sure your bedroom is completely ventilated with good air freshener to make you feel good while sleeping.
- Listen to relaxing music, songs of god, this will help you get some devotional and peaceful sleep.
